Each year, the California Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Coalition (CPC) recognizes schools that effectively implement support for students’ behavioral, academic, social, emotional, and mental health. The CPC has recognized and awarded Yucaipa-Calimesa schools for implementing the evidence-based, tiered framework outlined in PBIS. The highest award achievable, Platinum, was awarded to Mesa View Middle School, Park View Middle School, and Valley Elementary School. At the same time, Calimesa, Chapman Heights, Dunlap, Ridgeview, and Wildwood Elementary Schools received Gold, and Green Valley and Yuciapa High Schools received Silver level awards.
“It is such an honor each year to have our schools recognized for doing an outstanding job implementing the PBIS framework. I am proud of each of our schools for progressing in award levels this year, and I especially want to highlight our three platinum award winners.
