Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District recognizes the barriers students experiencing homelessness and Foster youth may face. Yucaipa-School District works diligently to implement strategies as necessary for student success. It is the desire of our District to provide our families with a positive and safe environment to help them achieve academic success and resiliency.

Under the McKinney Vento Homeless Assistance Act school-aged children may be entitled to educational rights and support such as:

• Facilitate school enrollment

• Help students with basic school supplies, supplemental services

• Free school meals

• Provide referrals to resources in the community
